NOTE FOR TEACHING-PARENTS
1) Bookmark this login page: www.staahomeschool.com/StudentZone. Your student can use his or her username and password to access the online resources. We recommend spending some time clicking through the website together with your teen in order familiarize yourselves with the layout. The initial page in the Student Zone outlines how students can obtain support throughout the school year. Contact links are also available at the top of the website under the 'Contact My Advisor' drop-down menu.
2) Encourage your student to click on the 'My Courses' link on the top menu in order to gain access to the course pages that include quizzes, downloads, and other web resources. Student access to the web resources is activated starting the first week of August following review of the Course Registration form.
3) Passwords are case-sensitive. Students are welcome to change their e-mail address after they log in (a non-functional, generic one was entered to create their account) but we do not recommend changing the password.
4) Downloads that are exclusively for teaching-parents can be found on the Member Support Site in the 'Course Catalogue' section. Use your teaching-parent username to log in at www.staahomeschool.com/members, click on 'Course Catalogue' on the menu on the right, navigate to the course page you need, and then scroll to the bottom of the course page to the comments section where special teaching-parent downloads are posted.
Student access to the Student Zone and Orientation "course" in the course area is activated shortly after enrollment. Once STAA reviews the Course Registration form submitted for your student then his or her access to the courses necessary for the school year is activated. Keep in mind that courses for the new school year go live on August 1st of each year. Only the Orientation "course" is available before August 1st.
