"I wanted to ask a follow-up question about some of the daily schedule commitments you mentioned. I think we talked about having about three hours of direct instructional learning per day for a first grader. We are struggling with motivation now in Kindergarten and barely get thirty minutes a day. Three hours would be well beyond our reach. I’m afraid that having a time requirement per day would add more stress for me than I’m already feeling."
Generally speaking, most states define a school day as the equivalent of three hours of instructional activity per day for Grades K/P1, 1, and 2. "Instructional activity" should be broadly defined, and we can help you with that definition, according to your students' ages and abilities.
