Hello, I have uploaded all the Semester 2 Reports that are located in our Parent Family Folder for [my daughter]. I'm having some confusion on what's been uploaded as I do not see any work samples for [Critical Reading]. The Gradebook is there but no work samples. Also, there is a max # of 5 files that I can upload, so some of the classes had to be under a different "Subject" group since they fall under the same Subject (CAP-B and MA1-A). I had a hard time following the actual worksample uploads and matching to the Semester 2 Report (Semester 1 was an easier match!) My apologies if I'm just not "getting it"!!  Thanks :)

No need to apologize—you're asking exactly the right questions! It sounds like you may actually be working much harder than necessary since your daughter was registered for advisor grading in her live classes. Let me help clarify the process:

The Simple Rule for Live Classes:

Check the gradebooks your advisor issued for each live class—you'll see yellow highlights on starred assignments (the important work samples). If those highlighted assignments show passing grades, you're done! Just write the final quarter grade on your Semester Report Form and you're all set.

When You Need to Do More:

Only submit additional work samples if a highlighted assignment shows a failing grade or says "NOT SUBMITTED." In those cases, work with your daughter to revise the assignment or submit the missing work through the SEMESTER REPORTING course page.

About Critical Reading Specifically:

All Critical Reading assignments were submitted through the online quizzing system, so the work samples are already documented in the STAA Student Zone. To see feedback on individual assignments, sign in as your student and click on the assignment names—everything's there!

For Catholic Apologetics and Moral Apologetics:

Many of the assignments have advisor evaluations that were dropped into your family folder so you as the parent can speedily access the mark ups and evaluation notes on those types of assignments (papers and special worksheets, not short essay questions administered through the online quizzing system like most of the Critical Reading assignments).

Bottom Line:

If your live class advisor saw the work and gave it a passing score, we've already documented everything needed on our end. You just need to record the final grade on the Semester Report Form. Only submit additional materials for assignments that need revision or were missing.
