How do I know that my kids will still have access to their courses this summer because they are still doing work? Are they kicked out July 15th?


Your children will have access to their courses until July 15th. After that date, the platform will be completely unavailable to ALL parents and students through July 31st for our annual maintenance and reset period.  This happens every year, without exception.


Important Dates:

  • Last day of access: July 14th
  • Platform closed: July 15th - July 31st (NO ACCESS for anyone)
  • Platform reopens: August 1st


Complete Site Closure: During the July 15-31 maintenance period, no parents or students will have any access to the member site. This applies to everyone, regardless of enrollment status, summer schedules, or where they are in courses extended past the June 30th due date.


What to do before July 15th:

  • Save or download any important documents, assignments, or materials your children will need
  • Record current quiz scores in printed study guides
  • Download any special forms required for offline study
  • Take screenshots of progress or grades you want to keep


For students continuing summer work:

  • Students must work completely offline using printed materials during the closure
  • Keep track of any quiz scores or completed work in written form
  • Email your advisor on August 1st to request access to unfinished or summer courses




After I read this parent's question and your response about the "reset", I wanted to ask if I need to download the files that are in my private family folder for [my son] (semester reporting folders, live class folders, and archived folder contents) or do those remain available for online viewing?


No, you do not need to download files from your private family folders. Your private family and student folders are stored separately from the main Student Zone platform and are not affected by the July reset.


What stays safe during the reset:

  • All files in your private family folder
  • Live class materials in your private folders
  • Archived folder contents


What gets reset:

  • Only the main Student Zone course materials and previous school year data
  • Student progress tracking
  • Online gradebooks and course access


File retention policy: Your private folder documents remain available for at least one year after your student graduates or your enrollment ends. Your student's permanent records (official transcripts, semester report forms, Course Registration Forms, standardized test results, and record of graduation) are indefinitely retained in a separate system that is not connected to the private folders or member site.  We maintain these files to support transcript requests and academic records.   


Best practice recommendation: While downloading isn't required, we still recommend keeping local copies of important documents like:

  • Final transcripts
  • Standardized test scores
  • Completed semester reports
  • Any documents you'll need for college applications

This gives you immediate access without needing to log in to retrieve them later.  If it is important to you or your student, a backup is recommended.
