How Do I Find My Online Quizzes on the STAA Student Zone?
Great question! Before you can access your quizzes, your teaching-parent will need to share your Student Zone login information with you. Teaching-parents can find the Web Logins document in your family’s Private Family Folder on the STAA Student Zone. This document contains your unique username and password for your student account. Step 1: Sign In to the STAA Student Zone
Visit staahomeschool.com/studentzone and sign in using the username and password from your Web Logins document. Remember, your student login is separate from your teaching-parent’s login, so be sure you are using your own credentials.
Step 2: Navigate to Your Course Page
Once you are signed in, go to your course page. Every study guide course has its own dedicated course page on the Student Zone. You can find your courses listed on your Dashboard or by clicking “My courses” in the navigation menu. For a quick, printed reference of the menus and navigation strips on the STAA Student Zone, see the “STAA Student Zone” page in the front of your Study Guide (p. xiv in the 2025–26 STAA Study Guides; page number may vary in future editions).
Step 3: Locate Your Quiz
Open your printed study guide and look at the quiz number listed for your current week’s assignment. On the course page, find and open the folder that matches the quiz’s assignment title number. Your quiz will be inside that folder!
Helpful Tips for Taking Quizzes
When to Take Your Quiz: Complete your weekly reading and note-taking first, then take the quiz. Most quizzes take about 10 to 20 minutes to complete.
Open Notes, Closed Book: Most quizzes allow you to reference anything you have handwritten in your reading notes or study guide, but you cannot use your textbooks during the quiz. Always read the online instructions for each quiz before clicking the “Attempt Quiz” button, as some quizzes may have different rules.
Four Attempts Available: You have up to four attempts for each quiz. Take the quiz once a day until you earn a score close to 80%. Your best score will be stored in the online gradebook.
Immediate Results: Quizzes are scored immediately by the computer system, so you will know your results right away.
When Are Quizzes Available?
Online quizzes are available from August 1 to July 15 each school year. Student access to quizzes is activated 5 to 10 weekdays after your Course Registration form is received. Be sure to write down your quiz scores as you complete them, as all quiz data is deleted on July 15 and cannot be retrieved.
