No problem at all! Labels and report form spaces go missing for very ordinary reasons: a course added mid-year, a substitution (Economics in place of Introductory Physics, for example), a late enrollment, or simply a label that wandered off. Here is how to keep everything clearly identified.
Make Your Own Label
Write the identification directly on the work sample in bold, clear handwriting at the top of the page: the student’s name, grade level, course title, and quarter. For example: “Jane Student, Grade 11, Economics, Quarter 3.” Make it prominent and use permanent ink so nothing smudges or fades.
Adapt Your Semester Report Form
When a course was swapped mid-year, use the spaces printed for the course you set aside. Simply cross out the printed course name and write the new one, use correction fluid, or draw a new box if you need one. Choose whichever method is easiest; the important thing is that the course name on the report form matches the course name on the work samples and the grade tracker, so your advisor can match everything at a glance.
Making a major course change? Send your advisor a quick note when it happens. Your personalized forms can often be updated before you need to submit them, which saves you the crossing-out altogether.
Before You Submit
- Every work sample is labeled, either with an official label or with handwritten identification.
- The course title matches across the report form, the work samples, and the grade tracker.
- Name, grade, course, and quarter appear on everything.
